Salt Community Groups
Frequently Asked Questions
It's hard to be known in a crowd. You were designed by God to live in community.
We want to provide a space for every member to be deeply engaged in relationships with brothers and sisters in Christ while working out their faith in community.
Our expectations for all Salt Community Groups are:
Salt Community Groups are NOT a place to debate political/theological stances and are NOT for personal platforms (business, ministry or special interests).
Salt Community Groups meet weekly, for about an hour and 45 minutes, in host homes in both Bryan and College Station.
We offer both-intergenerational and college groups.
You can expect to see people of all ages and all seasons of life, from college students to retirees; new believers and mature believers all doing life together.
NOTE:
- Groups meet from August through May, with short breaks in December-January.
- During the summer (June–July), SCGs take a break from regular meetings to give leaders time to rest, reset, and prepare for the next season. Groups are still encouraged to connect informally for fun, fellowship, and relationship-building throughout the summer.
In every Salt Community Group we create a Spirit-filled environment where believers can grow in their relationship with God by studying and applying Scripture, praying together, fellowshipping with one another, living missional (reaching our city) together, and encouraging one another to live out their identity in Christ.
"Sign-ups" for Salt Community groups will open in August for the Fall and again in January for the Spring.
You can sign up on the church website, church center App, or by reaching out to a Salt Community Group Leader directly.

Currently, SCGs are capped at 25 people, with the goal of eventually reducing group size to 12–15 people. This will help protect the relational intimacy of the group, create more opportunities for everyone to participate and connect, and ensure our host homes can comfortably accommodate everyone.
