Salt Community Groups

A Place to Connect & Grow!

Salt Community Groups are biblical communities where we are challenged and encouraged to live life authentically and on mission. Salt Community Groups are one way we live out the 'one anothers' found in scripture.
What are Salt Community Groups all about?
It's hard to be known in a crowd. You were designed by God to live in community.
We want to provide a space for every member to be deeply engaged in relationships with brothers and sisters in Christ.
Our expectations for all Salt Community Groups are:
  • BE SHARPENED by the word
  • GO DEEP relationally
  • BE SALTY (intentionally missional) in our city!
What do groups look like?
Salt Community Groups meet weekly, for about an hour and 45 minutes, in host homes in both Bryan and College Station. Salt Community Groups are relaxed and informal, and are intentionally designed to be intergenerational.
You can expect to see people of all ages and all seasons of life, from college students to retirees; new believers and mature believers all doing life together.

NOTE:
  • Groups meet from August through May, with short breaks in December-January.
  • During summer (June-July), all groups meet once per month for fellowship. Groups may meet more often during ‘rest seasons’ at the leader’s discretion.

Is there a format or agenda?
In every group you'll engage in bible study, prayer, fellowship and 'Salt Weeks' where every group is intentionally loving and serving our community.

How can I join a Salt Group?
"Sign-ups" for Salt Community groups will open in August for the Fall and again in January for the Spring.
You can sign up on the church website, church center App, or by reaching out to a Salt Community Group Leader.
FAQs
  • What happens if I miss the sign-up deadline?  Contact a Salt Group Leader directly.
  • How large are the groups?  We max our groups at 25 people, to guard the intimacy of the group and to assure that our host homes can accommodate everyone.
  • Salt Community Groups are NOT a place to debate political/theological stances and are NOT for personal platforms (business, ministry or special interests).
